Pokémon turns 30 this year, and Casio has marked it with one of the most detailed G-Shock collaborations in recent memory. The GA-110PKM-7A takes the oversized GA-110 — the big analog-digital G-Shock that has hosted more collabs than any other — and rebuilds it in the red, blue and green of the original 1996 games. Then it keeps going: a Poké Ball subdial, a Pikachu-shaped hand, thirty Pokémon on the band, and packaging shaped like a Poké Ball.
At a Glance
A 30th-anniversary Pokémon collab built on G-Shock's most collectible case — detailed to a degree that rewards a close look.
- 1996 colours: hands, buttons, dial and bezel in the red, blue and green of the original games
- Poké Ball subdial: the 9 o'clock inset dial, with an indicator hand shaped like Pikachu seen from behind
- 30 Pokémon on the band: 29 along the strap, plus Mew on the band loop
- Engraved caseback and Poké Ball–shaped packaging
- Still a G-Shock: shock resistant, 200m water resistance, world time, 1/1000-sec stopwatch, LED light
Thirty Years, Thirty Pokémon
The GA-110 is the G-Shock that collaborations are built on — a big, unapologetic 55mm analog-digital case with enough surface area to actually carry a design. Here, Casio has used all of it. The hands, buttons, dial and bezel wear the red, blue and green that anyone who played the 1996 originals will recognise instantly. It's a colourway that works as a G-Shock first and a reference second, which is exactly why it lands.
The 9 o'clock inset dial is styled after a Poké Ball — and the indicator hand is Pikachu, seen from behind. Click here for more info.
The best detail is the smallest. The inset dial at 9 o'clock is drawn as a Poké Ball, and the little indicator hand sweeping across it is shaped like Pikachu, viewed from behind. It's the kind of thing you'd miss on a product listing and grin at on the wrist.
"Thirty Pokémon, one for each year — twenty-nine on the band, and Mew hiding on the band loop."
The Band: A Roll Call of Thirty
Just Landed
The band is where the anniversary maths happens. Casio has printed three first-partner Pokémon from each generation — Kanto all the way through to Paldea — and added Pikachu and Eevee, for 29 across the strap itself. The thirtieth is Mew, the Mythical Pokémon first introduced in 1996, tucked onto the band loop. One Pokémon per year, if you're counting.
The Caseback and the Poké Ball Box
Turn it over and the caseback carries a commemorative Pokémon 30-year logo. And the packaging is not an afterthought: the watch ships inside a case shaped like a Poké Ball, in an outer box that repeats the 30-Pokémon design. For a collab piece, the unboxing is half the point — and Casio clearly knew it.
Still a Proper G-Shock
Underneath the licensing, this is a full-fat GA-110. The 55 × 51.2 × 16.9mm resin case is shock resistant and magnetic resistant, with 200m water resistance and mineral glass. You get world time across 29 time zones (48 cities), a 1/1000-second stopwatch, a 24-hour countdown timer, five daily alarms, a full auto-calendar to 2099, and an amber LED light with afterglow. Battery life is around two years. It's a collectible you can wear in the surf — which has always been the trick with a G-Shock.

What is the G-Shock GA-110PKM-7A?
It's a Casio G-Shock built in collaboration with Pokémon to mark the franchise's 30th anniversary. Based on the analog-digital GA-110, it's finished in the red, blue and green of the original 1996 games, with a Poké Ball–styled inset dial, a Pikachu-shaped indicator hand, 30 Pokémon on the band, an engraved caseback and Poké Ball packaging.
Which 30 Pokémon are on the band?
The band features three first-partner Pokémon from each region, from Kanto through to Paldea, plus Pikachu and Eevee — 29 in total along the strap. Mew, the Mythical Pokémon first introduced in 1996, appears on the band loop, bringing the count to 30, one for each year.
Is the GA-110PKM-7A a limited edition?
Casio has not published a numbered production limit for this model. It is a collaboration release rather than a numbered limited edition — but G-Shock collabs of this profile are typically produced for a single run and are not restocked once sold through.
Is it still water resistant and shock resistant?
Yes. Despite the collab styling it's a full G-Shock: shock resistant and magnetic resistant, with 200m water resistance, mineral glass and a resin case and band.
What features does it have?
World time across 29 time zones (48 cities), a 1/1000-second stopwatch, a 24-hour countdown timer, five daily alarms, a full auto-calendar to 2099, 12/24-hour format and an amber LED light with afterglow. Battery life is approximately two years.
Does Watch Direct sell genuine G-Shock watches?
Yes. Watch Direct is an authorised G-Shock retailer in Australia. Every watch we sell is genuine and backed by a full Australian manufacturer's warranty. Browse the full G-Shock collection.
