The gray bezel and dark gray frame of the dial offer a two-tone style that’s punctuated by the bright buttons and translucent band connector. The contrast between the band and buttons ensure ease of use while complementing any fashion while at work or at play.
The slim case is only 11 mm thick, a 15% reduction from other popular G-SHOCK digital watches like the GMWB500 series, and at only 45 grams, the GDB500 series is a 73% reduction in weight from the same series. This small G-SHOCK watch takes comfort to a new level while capitalizing on G-SHOCK performance.
New innovations in shock resistance stem from a redesign of the connection between the bezel, case, and band. That shock resistance is coupled with 200m water resistance (wr20 bar) to ensure endurance and reliability during your active life.
Bluetooth® connectivity ensures accurate timekeeping, and the pedometer helps you to achieve your fitness goals. This G-SHOCK with step counter is enabled with Bluetooth® and graphs your performance on your cellphone by utilizing the Casio app. If desired, this small G-SHOCK watch will alert you when you’ve been inactive for too long, offloading the worry about attaining your personal fitness goals.
The Dual Time feature syncs your busy day with colleagues, coworkers, friends, and family to ensure smooth collaboration with a quick glance.

A module that floats
Inside a hollow case, the module (the heart of the watch) seems to float, so knocks from outside are softened before they reach it. The idea came from watching children play with a rubber ball.

About G-SHOCK
G-SHOCK began with a dropped watch. Casio designer Kikuo Ibe saw a watch break when it fell, and proposed “a durable watch that would not break even if dropped”. The project set itself the “Triple 10” goal: survive a 10-metre drop, resist water to 10 bar and run for 10 years on one battery. The first G-SHOCK, the DW-5000C, arrived in 1983.
