Marking 145 years of Seiko watchmaking, the Essential Time Chronograph HGK003P is a men's watch that pairs everyday practicality with commemorative detail.
A purple dial sits beneath sapphire crystal in a 40mm stainless steel case, with silver-white sub-dials, a gold-coloured Seiko logo and a matching central chronograph hand lifting the design. The 8T63 quartz calibre times to one-fifth of a second over sixty minutes and adds a 24-hour hand, small seconds and a date window, while LumiBrite keeps the hands and indexes readable after dark. Water resistant to 100 metres on a three-fold clasp bracelet, it carries LIMITED EDITION on the case back.

In 1892 he founded the Seikosha factory, and in 1924 the first watch to carry the Seiko name was released. On 25 December 1969 Seiko launched the Quartz Astron, the world's first quartz wristwatch.
